Typhoon Leave Announcement: July 7 Work and Classes Suspended Across Taiwan, Only Northern Areas Operate Normally

The Central Weather Bureau continues to issue typhoon warnings for Typhoon Danas. According to the latest information, the 12 counties and cities south of Hsinchu in western Taiwan and the outlying island of Penghu will have a typhoon holiday (disaster prevention holiday) on July 7, with all work and classes suspended for the day.
In contrast, the four counties and cities of Northern Taiwan (Taipei, New Taipei, Keelung, and Taoyuan) will operate normally, although the Lu-Chu, Da-Yuan, Guanyin, and Xinwu districts of Taoyuan will suspend work and classes. Additionally, areas in Yilan, Hualien, Taitung, and Kinmen will also continue normal operations.
Below is the suspension notice for each county and city across Taiwan:
- Keelung: Normal operations on July 7
- Taipei: Normal operations on July 7
- New Taipei: Normal operations on July 7
- Taoyuan: Normal operations except for Lu-Chu, Da-Yuan, Guanyin, and Xinwu, which will suspend work and classes
- Hsinchu City: Suspension of work and classes on July 7
- Hsinchu County: Suspension of work and classes on July 7
- Miaoli County: Suspension of work and classes on July 7
- Taichung City: Suspension of work and classes on July 7
- Changhua County: Suspension of work and classes on July 7
- Nantou County: Suspension of work and classes on July 7
- Yunlin County: Suspension of work and classes on July 7
- Chiayi City: Suspension of work and classes on July 7
- Chiayi County: Suspension of work and classes on July 7
- Tainan City: Suspension of work and classes on July 7
- Kaohsiung City: Suspension of work and classes on July 7
- Pingtung County: Suspension of work and classes on July 7
- Ilan County: Normal operations on July 7
- Hualien County: Normal operations on July 7
- Taitung County: Normal operations on July 7
- Penghu: Suspension of work and classes on July 7
- Lienchiang County: Normal operations on July 7
- Kinmen County: Normal operations on July 7
According to Article 4 of the 'Natural Disaster Suspension of Work and Classes Procedures', if the typhoon's radius of strong winds is expected to pass through an area within four hours, with an average wind force of level seven or higher, or gusts reaching level ten or higher, work and classes can be suspended. However, given the rapidly changing weather conditions, final decisions will be based on announcements from local governments, and notifications from the Civil Service Bureau can also be referenced.
