Wanlorong Kangka has been named the first foreign Best Actor at the Taipei Film Awards. This honor was revealed during the 2025 award ceremony. He won for his role in "White Roaring Dog," defeating nominees including Chen Bolin and Huang Guanzhi, causing gasps from the audience. He expressed, "Thank you for making this world a better place."

During his acceptance speech, Wanlorong Kangka struggled with emotions and thanked his team in Mandarin, stating, "Without them, I wouldn't be here." He shared that he had faced the decision of possibly giving up acting, but the film allowed him to be reborn in Taiwan, providing him with the energy to continue his career.

He emphasized his commitment to learning Mandarin and his desire to act in Taiwan, actively seeking opportunities. Wanlorong Kangka also plans to invite other nominees to sign his award, particularly eager for a signature from his idol, Chen Bolin.

Interestingly, in his speech, he momentarily forgot about his translator due to nerves, leading to a humorous moment as he turned to see the translator, which caused laughter among the audience.
