The Central Weather Bureau (CWB) reported that Typhoon Danas made landfall in Budai, Chiayi County at 11:40 PM yesterday. It is expected to continue weakening, with a trend of a diminishing typhoon radius; however, the impacts of rain and high waves still require vigilance, particularly in the mountainous areas of central and southern Taiwan and the northern regions.
As of 7:15 AM, the CWB has issued alert zones: the land alert includes New Taipei, Keelung, Taipei, Taoyuan, Hsinchu, Miaoli, Taichung, Changhua, Nantou, Yunlin, Chiayi, Yilan, and Hualien. The marine alert warns vessels operating in these waters. Additionally, continuous rainfall warnings have been published, urging the public to monitor for lightning and strong winds while being cautious of potential landslides and flash floods.
