In Antalya province, Turkey, a lion named Zeus escaped from a theme park in the middle of the night, coming dangerously close to attacking a farmer named Geir and his wife who were sleeping nearby. When Geir heard unusual noises and woke up, the lion had already pounced on him. He fought back fiercely, managing to fend off the lion despite sustaining injuries. Geir was later taken to the hospital for treatment.

Authorities decided to euthanize Zeus due to safety concerns, as they were unable to capture him alive and feared he would attack again. Geir expressed his anger over the decision and intends to file a lawsuit against the theme park.

In Pakistan, a similar incident occurred when a lion escaped and started chasing pedestrians, leading to injuries of a woman and her two children. The lion’s owner was arrested for failing to manage the animal properly, prompting local authorities to enforce strict regulations.
