The BWF Super 300 Canadian Badminton Open featured a thrilling men's doubles final on June 6, showcasing a Taiwanese showdown. Twin brothers Li Fang-Jen (left) and Li Fang-Chih (right) triumphed over their compatriots Zhang Keqi and Bai Liwei with scores of 21-19, 21-19, clinching their first 300-level title.

Ranked 22nd in the world, Li Fang-Jen and Li Fang-Chih faced a challenging record against the 77th-ranked Zhang Keqi and Bai Liwei, holding a 2-4 disadvantage prior to the match. The first set was tightly contested, with the Li brothers maintaining a slim lead that never exceeded 3 points. They found themselves tied at 17-17 late in the set but managed to secure it with a 4-2 run.

In the second set, Zhang and Bai initially took the lead, reaching 17-13 at one point. However, Li Fang-Jen and Li Fang-Chih staged a remarkable comeback, closing the match with an 8-2 rally.

According to the latest BWF rankings, Taiwan's top men's doubles team is Wang Chi-Lin and Chiu Hsiang-Chuang (ranked 18), followed by Li Chih-Hui and Yang Po-Hsuan (20), with Li Fang-Jen and Li Fang-Chih ranked 22nd.
